Guidelines for reviewers

 
The review procedure adopted for „Studia do Dziejów Architektury i Urbanistyki w Polsce” („Studies on the History of Architecture and Urban Planning in Poland”) follows these steps:

  • Submitted articles undergo an initial formal verification and are assessed for substantive alignment with the journal’s profile (or the thematic focus of the upcoming volume, announced in advance). This evaluation is completed within 14 days of submission. Articles that are not academic in nature, do not fit the journal’s profile, or do not meet formal criteria are rejected at this stage.
  • After the initial formal and substantive verification, the article is sent for review by two independent reviewers from outside the author’s affiliated institution.
  • The review process, lasting 30 days, follows a confidentiality and double-blind review principle.
  • Reviews are provided in writing and must conclude with a clear recommendation for acceptance or rejection of the article.
  • Reviewers use the appropriate review form.
  • Within 14 days of providing the review, the authors take into account the reviewers' comments and send a corrected version of the article.
  • If necessary, the article undergoes a second review by the same reviewers within 14 days.
  • The acceptance of an article for publication requires two positive reviews.
  • The list of reviewers for each volume is published on the journal’s website.
